I recently had the pleasure of meeting Yvonne & Pamela Laird in The Beauty Parlour in Terenure. Check out their website www.beautyparlour.ie

They offer a wide range of treatments including uber relaxing facials, semi permanent makeup, microdermabrasion, spray tan, waxing, mani pedi to name but a few items that they offer. Visit the website to seethe list of treatments and prices.

What I would like to bring your attention to is the lash extensions which are available as lash extensions and mink lash extensions which feel as light as a feather. Treat yourself to long luscious lashes as you relax in the treatment room. Lashes can last up to two months so its well worth treating yourself. I have seen these being applied and the length is just incredible, it really opens up the eyes and you dont need to use mascara which I think is fantastic.

The Beauty Parlour also offers " Great lengths" hair extensions. These add volume and texture and take only a short time to install. As a girl who loves hair extensions..these are the ones to get !

Clocks forward...spring back

hi all, well it has been a very busy few weeks here at Maria McGrail Photography HQ. Lots of new clients so lots of editing to be done . We have also launched the most amazing competition to look for the face of Tempted boutiqe..check out Tempted.ie. I am one of the judges and what fantastic company I am in as Cathy O'Connor is a judge and also the stunning Vicki Mooney, curvacious model with Andrea Roche agency and of course the most importrant judge is Rosemary Kearns, owner of Tempted. Prizes are amazing so get entering as it closes friday 6th april.

My Fashion looks this week are inspired by the latest looks from Awear.. coloured jeans,blazers, scarves and delightful tops. check out awear.com

Hi all, just a quick visit to my blog ! Well I uploaded some of the beautiful photos of the very fabulous Holly Carpenter, Miss Ireland. Elaine Scully did an amazing job at styling Holly. Denise Bray created hairstyles and Anne O'Donovan created makeup looks. I loved this shoot, Such a wonderful honour. I also uploaded a few more photos from a recent shoot that I did for Rachel Fallon Milliner, another wonderful shoot and Stephanie Burgess created makeup looks and again I had the pleasure of Elaine Scully styling the lingerie shoot.

Tomorrow I am off to TIMA to shoot six models with six makeup artists and Elaine Scully will be styling with Claire Garvey designs and the very fabulous Denise Bray will be creating hairstyles so another fantastic shoot ! If any of you are thinking about doing a makeup course- contact Anne Morrissey in TIMA- highly recommended.

I finished editing Casey Leigh's shoot, this girl is going to be a star, a fantastic singer and such a lovely person. Deborah Ruddy styled the shoot with clothes from Chic Unique. Deborah brought along a wonderful selection of clothes for Casey. Anne O'Donovan created makeup looks for the shoot.

Photoshoots in February

Hi all, well I had a great start to the month editing Miss Irelands - Holly Carpenter- Fashion photoshoot. It was a very short shoot but sometimes they can be just as magical. We did the shoot in Ardgillen Castle which is such an inspiring setting and staff are so nice. The shoot was styled by my favorite stylist- Elaine Scully. Elaine has a gift of making everything look effortless and the final look is outstanding. You can follow Elaine on Facebook and also on "lipstick and parties". Denise Bray created the hairstyles which complimented the dresses that Elaine chose. Makeup, which was by Anne O'Donovan , was understated but this made an overall impact in the stunning elegant look so each component worked so well together. I will upload the photos soon :)

I also did a photoshoot for Element , boy band. These guys are fantastic, they have an amazing presence and I am sure will do very well for themselves. I shot them in the studio and in surrounding areas. I have uploaded a few photos onto the website so have a look :)

Another photoshoot I did in the beautiful surroundings of Dublin's fabulous Shelbourne Hotel.The shoot was for Rachel Fallon designs. Rachel is one of the most creative Milliners that I have met. She studied in London and is back now in Dublin and she has her designs stocked in Dublin. Stephanie Burgess created the makeup looks. Stephanie created makeup looks that compliemented Rachels designs totally, it was a very polished makeup look which I love. Marie Esmonde is one of my favorite models to work with so this shoot was a lot of fun. Elaine Scully styled the shoot which brought everything together ...yet again! I am nearly finished editing these so I will upload some when I finish but this photo is a little sneaky peak so..

I have lots of exciting projects coming up including another portrait with your loved one shoot in association with DSPCA. I raised 250euro at the last one so get booking for the next one as places fill fast. Tara O' Farrell from Andrea Roche agency is the make up artist for the DSPCA shoot..Keep an eye on the social offers page.

Hello to all my fabulous fans all over the world, hope you are having a great week so far! I got a very sweet and delicious surprise sent to me and that was a lucious lipgloss from Seka Cosmetics. Susan, creator of Seka Cosmetics, pursued her dream of a career in the cosmetics industry in 2007, after completing a degree in makeup artistry. While finishing the makeup artistry degree with LA Makeup, Dublin, she wondered how cosmetics were made and so began her quest to create a new Irish cosmetics brand.

As a huge makeup fan, I applied my lipgloss, Scarlett Love, what a delight ! The colour in particular is fabulous and its not a sticky lip gloss as some can be. It is long wearing and it soothes and hydrates the lips and gives you that all important pout ! They are also great value as they are double the size of any lipgloss I have seen and they are priced at a very reasonable 12Euro.

Tempted 16-28 Boutique

Hello everyone ! Well this week I ventured into Tempted Boutique in Raheny and met its vivacious owner, Rosemary Kehoe. A fabulous boutique for curvy ladies, they stock sizes 16-28. Tempted is located in Raheny, Wexford and Carlow. It is a boutique for women who love clothes and love fashion but don't want to sacrifice their style just because they happen to take a size 16 or a 28, its just about looking and feeling great about yourself.

Rosemary kehoe is the owner of Tempted and to say she is passionate about her boutiques, would be an understatement. As a curvy girl myself :) , it can be difficult finding something that makes you feel great but when I went into Tempted, I could understand how she has such loyal customers. She makes everyone feel at ease and really feel fabulous no matter what they are looking for. So whether its something smart but casual that you are looking for or a dress and some jewellery for a special occasion , Tempted has it all.
